The Women's Premier League (WPL), is also known as Tata WPL because of the sponsorship by Tata Group. It is a women's Twenty20 cricket franchise league in India. It is managed and operated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI).

The inaugural season in March 2023 saw the Mumbai Indians clinch the first-ever title, with matches played in Mumbai and Navi Mumbai, featuring five teams.

The second season, held in February–March 2024, saw Royal Challengers Bengaluru emerge as champions, with matches hosted in Bengaluru and Delhi.

In January 2023, Viacom18 secured the global media rights for the TV and digital broadcasting of the tournament for a five-year deal worth ₹951 crore (US$110 million).
